This policy applies to all interactions with The Wisdom Gym including use of our website, purchase of membership, purchase of digital products through our shop and participation in our community.
By using our website you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
We are the data controller of your personal data for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

When you join our waitlist, purchase a membership or buy a product from our shop we collect:

• Your billing address where required for payment processing
• Payment information — this is processed securely by our payment provider and we do not store your card details
• Any information you choose to share in the community, in live sessions or in direct communications with us
If you contact us directly — by email or through our contact form — we may also receive your name, email address, phone number if provided, the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send.
1.2 Purchase and transaction data
When you make a purchase — whether a membership or a shop product — we collect:
• Details of the product or membership tier purchased
• Transaction date and amount
• Purchase history for your account
• Download or access records for digital products

• Usage data including how you access and use our content and platform
• Log file data including IP addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider, date and time stamps and referring pages — this information is not linked to personally identifiable information and is used for analysing trends and administering the site
• Device and technical information including browser type and IP address
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies — see Section 7 below

• Contract: processing necessary to fulfil your membership contract or your shop purchase

• Legal obligation: where we are required to process or retain data by law, including financial records required by HMRC
4. Marketing Communications
We may send you emails about The Wisdom Gym including new content, new products, upcoming events and membership updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at claire@thewisdomgym.com.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails that are necessary for your membership or your purchases, such as payment confirmations, order receipts and account information.
5. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data with trusted third party service providers who assist us in operating our business, including:
• Our membership platform provider (currently movement.io)
• Our payment processor
• Our email service provider
• Our website and shop hosting provider (Squarespace)
• Our download delivery provider where applicable
These providers are contractually required to keep your data secure and to use it only for the purposes we specify. Where any provider is located outside the UK we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
The Wisdom Gym's Privacy Policy does not apply to third party websites that may be linked to from our website. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third party website you visit.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your membership is active or your account exists and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and administrative purposes.
Purchase and payment records — including records of both membership payments and shop purchases — are retained for seven years in accordance with HMRC requirements.
Download records for digital products are retained for a reasonable period to allow us to assist with any delivery queries.
You may request deletion of your data at any time subject to our legal retention obligations — see Section 8 for your rights.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to improve your experience, to process transactions and to help us understand how visitors use the site. These include:
• Essential cookies necessary for the website and shop to function, including cookies required to process purchases

Payment data is processed securely by our payment provider and we do not store card details on our systems. All data transmission on our website is encrypted using SSL technology.

The Wisdom Gym is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at claire@thewisdomgym.com. We will take prompt steps to remove such information from our records.
