Overcoming Fear of Being Fired and Build Self-Acceptance

EFT Tapping Session

Session Length: 20-minutes

If you're feeling a lack of confidence at work and experiencing fear of getting fired due to comparisons with others, you're not alone. These emotions can be overwhelming and affect your performance and mindset.

This EFT tapping sequence involves gently tapping specific acupressure points on your body while repeating certain statements. This helps to release negative emotions and shift your mindset towards more positive and empowering beliefs. The setup statement in this tapping sequence acknowledges the fear and lack of confidence while affirming self-acceptance. By tapping on the karate chop point and repeating the setup statement three times, you're setting the stage for the tapping process.

As you move through the tapping points on the face and body, you acknowledge and release the negative emotions associated with the fear of getting fired and feeling inferior to others at work. You then shift towards more positive and empowering affirmations about your abilities, strengths, and worthiness. The sequence is repeated three times to reinforce the positive beliefs.

After each round of tapping, you're encouraged to check in with yourself and notice any changes in your emotions or perspective. EFT tapping can help you release the intensity of negative emotions, shift your mindset towards more positive beliefs, and build confidence in your abilities at work.

Remember, you can use this tapping sequence whenever you feel overwhelmed with negative thoughts or emotions about your work or career. It's a powerful tool to manage your emotions and improve your mindset, helping you navigate work-related challenges more confidently and resiliently.

Tips to help you achieve the correct technique:

You should use firm but gentle pressure, the same as if you were drumming on the top of your desk or testing fruit for its ripeness.

You can use all four fingers or just the first two (index and middle fingers). Four fingers are generally used on wider areas, while just two can be used on sensitive or smaller areas, such as around the eyes.

You can tap on one side of the body or both simultaneously. The meridian points are symmetrical on either side of the body.

If you haven’t done tapping before or if you want to be reminded of the placings please watch Claire Ansteys explanation video here.
